Breed notes 15.02.24

The first Obreedience heat of the year took place last Sunday 11th. Manchesters reunited were in action and I am pleased to report that after a run off against the Cool Cockers and Shepherds Delight, they took 2nd place behind the Golden Acorns! A great start to this years campaign!!! With Crufts only 3 weeks away, (how did that happen?) I thought I would give you a rundown of where you can catch Manchester’s in action! Thursday 7th March, we have our Obreedience team, MRU, competing in the Finals in hall 5 from 12:00. More on the team next week. On the same day in the Vulnerable Breed final, Gill Knight will be representing the Manchester Terriers after winning BOB with Tara at National Terrier 2023, taking place in the main ring around 18:00, following the agility finals. Friday 8th sees the Knights team competing in the Breeders Competition Finals in the main arena around 18:00 after the Agility singles finals, more on their team next week too! Saturday 9th you can catch Chris Harrison and Teal competing in the RKCGC finals, held in the RKC ring hall 3/3a between 8:00 – 14:00, looks like they have been drawn 20th to compete. Sunday 10th is Terrier show day!! The Manchester’s are first in at 09:00, ring 5 hall 1. Our Judge Miss M Clifton has a great entry of 53 dogs with 58 class entries. Throughout the 4 days there will be dogs and their humans manning the Discover Dogs stand in hall 3/3a so pop along and say hello, these people give their time freely to talk to the public about our great breed, sharing both the good and the bad points, yes, they really do have some!

Photos are coming in on the BMTC FB members page for the 2025 calendar, some lovely one for the current category of seasons, please keep them coming.

Have a great week.
