Breed notes 01.02.2024
We had a lovely Northern mooch last Saturday to celebrate my pup’s 3rd birthday. 15 MT’s had a great time rambling, avoiding horses, bikes and other bewildered pooches. Theres another planned for the 10th of February at Rivington reservoir, details on BMTC FB pages. Suzie Cree posted on BMTC fan page: Announcing the first ever central Yorkshire mooch! Saturday 3rd February setting off at 10.15am from Swinsty Reservoir car park (Stack Point Car Park) HG3 1SU. Parking £2 card payment for 2 hours. Meet near the ice cream van. A one and a half hour walk around the reservoir on good mainly level paths. Two minutes’ drive to the Sun Inn with post walk refreshments available.
These really are a great way to get your MT out mingling with their own kind, I always say only a Manchester can understand another Manchester’s quirks, and they have a particular way of playing that other breeds don’t seem to understand!! They are also good for prospective MT owners to see them together and chat with other owners. Keep an eye on the BMTC FB pages for details of future events.
Speaking of future events, don’t forget to get your entries in for the BMTC Open and Championship shows on the 24th of February, being held at Shenstone village hall, online entries close for both on 9th of February. Even if you are not showing or don’t own an MT yet, feel free to pop along and see what goes on, there will be a lot of knowledgeable people there to have a chat with.

Great to see all the FB photos of Manchester’s under blankets or sitting by the fires, all very cosy in this unpredictable weather!!
