Happy New Year everyone!! Wow 2020 already!! Hope you and you’re four legged friends survived the festive season intact!
The last open show of 2019 was the very friendly and well run Lincoln canine society held at Newark show ground.
Our judge was the lovely Jane Goodwin. She had a great entry and chose her BOB in Diane & Steve Church’s girl Ember ( Rattustrap Fade to Black ), my girl Grace ( Rattustrap Citra at Carapast was RBOB ) BP was Louise Plant’s Plantocracy Bold Bruce. My boy Mr Darcy ( Paucelin Andoni at Carapast ) won best terrier veteran, unfortunately I was unable to stay for BVIS. Laura Sharp was in action in the junior handlers taking MrD in the ring with her, she handled him very well and he was good for her as it was the first time anyone else had showed him!! Christy Straughan was in the adult handlers class with Faith ( Talanors Time To Shine At Mannikai ) and did a fabulous job taking first place!
It was a fantastic atmosphere as always and was lovely to see Liz & Harry Charlton pop in to have a chat with everyone.
Two Mooches took place in the final week of the year:
30th December Northern Mersey Mooch:
Fabulous end of year Mersey mooch yesterday. 24 Manchester’s enjoyed each other’s company. Lovely to see more new faces, 4 & 2 legged! Especially nice to see Amber and her humans, from MrDs latest litter. Mabel and Todd has to be retrieved after both heading in the wrong way, I personally think they were eloping together Nigel!!! All the best for a fantastic New Year to you all!
South East Mooch Monday 30th December – The Ranges:
Who would of believed it was December! Clear blue skies and perfect day for a mooch. 16 Manchester’s graced our presence with their servants and thoroughly enjoyed catching up with new & old friends.
DJ took his first mooch in his stride and was a natural fit into the pack. Nice to see he had Lady Lucy who’s is around the same age to show the veterans can have a blast as well and also have taste buds for the livercake.
So nice not to be walking in a foot of mud, though flapjack was very good a playing me the ‘poor me, I have to wear a booty’…of course livercake seemed to do the trick.
Thank you Megan for counting the dogs for me and keeping Dante entertaining…awesome ball through skills!
Absolutely hilarious seeing Dylan sucker Laurence Spain ; ‘tealeaf’ was an expression I have not heard for a while and that was after the expletives I heard whilst he’s running after Dylan to get his treats back. Dylan on fire again with his snatch and grab technics 🤣
Lovely to see so many today and thought we all did fab job of taking on undulating hills. David Chapman sure you are getting younger!
Of course much needed drink and food after the humans escapades up and down the dunes, plus think the dogs enjoyed a bit of sun bathing!
Happy New Year and looking forward to some 2020 mooches!
