01/03/19

Cannot believe its already March!!! I’m sure we have all enjoyed the Spring weather we have been having but I’m sure this month will remind us its not quite Summer yet!!

23/02/19 was the date for the BMTC open show.

We had a late change of venue due to unforeseen circumstances and thanks must go to Estella and Ann for managing to find an alternative in such a short time and the rest of the committee who managed to set up and run a fantastic show!

An awful lot of time and effort goes on beforehand, especially by our secretary, to organise these shows and make them the success they are and I’m pleased to say this show has received many positive reports from those who attended.

Peter Forshaw was our Judge and his principle winners were:

Best In Show: Carter’s Ch Digelsa Declaration
Reserve Best In Show: Cawley’s, Ch Marlablue In A Twirl ShCM
Best Puppy In Show: Symes & Pease, Paucelin Kite
Best Veteran In Show: Knight’s, Ch Westbank Blue Diamond For Talanors

Apart from the showing its always a great chance to catch up with others in a friendly and less stressful environment andk great to see potential MT owners having a look and chatting with those already hooked on the breed!!

There will have been a Southern and Northern mooch last weekend but deadline was Friday so will repost in future issue on these.

Next weeks edition will be filled with Crufts results and reports from what I’m sure will have been a fantastic four days of everything our MTs have taken part in!

Thursday we have out obreediance team MRU in the finals, Friday the Talanors team are in the breeders stakes finals, Saturday is terrier day with MTs first in the ring at 9am and Garry’s flyball team Focus with pocket rocket Onyx are taking part in the heats Friday and hopefully qualifying for the weekends finals! So there is plenty of representation by our wonderfully versatile breed!

Don’t forget if you are going this week, to pop over and see the dogs on the discovery dogs stand which will be manned each day by volunteers and their dogs.

Have a fantastic week, hopefully see a lot of you at the NEC!
