Get your fancy dress costumes at the ready

The now famous BMTC Funday has been confirmed for the first weekend in August 2008.  Schedules for the Limit show and Companion dog show will be available online as soon as possible.  We look forward to seeing as many MT owners and their dogs.  Lets hope the weather is as fantastic as last year.

Following the recent AGM, members were invited to sit down with each other for an open and informal chat entitled " breeders question time", this was a fantastic opportunity for all and was very well received.  Lets hope this can be repeated in the future. 

Judy Thurlow has volunteered to take on the General Championship Show Trophy Steward role.  A big thank you to her and lets give her as much support as we can.

Mrs Delia Hemsell, Mrs Clair Ackrigg  and Mrs Mandy Green have joined the committee.  Mr H Hockley is now our Vice Chairman.

Please get your articles for highlights ready.  We are asking for articles from all over the world so if you have a Manchester Terrier and have a story to tell, big or small, please send it in to Mandy McFadden.  mandy.mcfadden@virgin.net

We are extremely interested in receiving articles from our juniors.

You do not have to be a club member to send in articles, however if you wish to join the BMTC then please ask us for a membership form.

The British Manchester Terrier Club would like to thank all those that made a stop off at the discover dogs breed stand at the recent Crufts event at the NEC  in Birmingham.  The stall was set up on Wednesday afternoon by Mandy McFadden and Gill Knight.  Gill and her husband Clive went on to support the stand over the following four days.  Assisted by MT owners and their dogs from all over the country.

It was good to hear stories old and new.  

The Manchester Terrier had some good publicity in the Independant  on Sunday newspaper.  Gordon Ralphs and Inka helped in a photoshoot to explain the vulnerable breed status that we are in.  Chris Garrett will write an article to support the event as soon as possible.
