A3 List ( Breed Specialists)
Requirements include:
Minimum of 7 years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the
Club.
To have judged a minimum of 36 dogs.
To have attended a seminar given by a KC accredited trainer, and passed the
relevant examination on KC regulations and judging procedures. ( policy as of
1/7/2001)
To have attended a Conformation and Movement "Hands-On Assessment" conducted by
a Kennel Club Accredited and passed the assessment. ( policy as of 1/7/2005)
To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the
relevant KC code of best practice and passed an
examination
and/or assessment where applicable. ( policy as of 1/7/2001)
To have bred and /or owned a minimum of three dogs when they obtained their
first entry in the KC studbook (save in exceptional circumstances).
To have stewarded over a minimum period of 3 years and 12 shows.
Rule 14 (i)
Nominees for the A3 lists must previously have been on the B list and
the Judges Sub-Committee are of
the opinion that the person has the knowledge and experience and is suitable to
award C.C.'s in the breed.

For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in the
breed and have the support of the Club.
Listings would normally include persons who have
judged the breed at limited and open shows, but do not yet qualify for the B
lists. During that time they should complete 2 (two stewarding engagements and
also acquire the “KC Rules and Regulations” and “Canine Conformation and
Movement” certificates. If the above criteria are met after a period of 2 years
then the applicants name would be looked at by the judging sub-committee for
possible election to the “B” list

Nominees as Specialists to be included on the C
List must have owned and exhibited or taken an active interest in the breed for
a minimum of five (5) years and attended a Club Training Seminar.
